Engage new staff from day one, in a consistent way
- Feel welcome
- Learn about the organisation
- Start networking
The Onboarding Game is a fun and engaging way of introducing the company to new staff. The focus of the game is on understanding the most difficult topics like Vision, Strategy and Culture & Values, through discussion and dilemmas.
Learn about the organization, interact with colleagues and compete with fun, informative quizzes. All designed to energize your newcomers, using proven gamification techniques. The game is always tailored to suit your organisation.
The game is played in small teams, connected in a video meeting. This format ensures everyone’s active participation which is key to learning. The game conveys information, promotes lots of group discussion, challenges the players with dilemmas and adds a bit of fun and competition with customised trivia.
Typically the game is run in two ways; as part of a virtual induction day or ad hoc for new staff as they join the company. As the game is digital, all the data that comes in can be tracked on live on dashboards.
The Onboarding Game is run in small breakouts of 3-5 people, taking part in a video meeting.
The team leader runs the game on a browser with screen share on, enabling everyone to take part. We support all systems like Zoom/Teams/Meet etc and there is no need to download any applications.
1. Perfect introduction to Vision, Strategy & Culture
2. Lets every participant be an active contributor
3. Connect people from different locations
4. Fun and engaging format
5. Measurable outcome
6. Can be run remotely from anywhere
The game will be fully tailored to your organisation and needs. Some clients choose to run the game as a general introduction, while others prefer to focus on one or two key areas. Our most popular topics are:
– General Introduction
– Culture, Values & Behaviours
– Vision & Strategy
– Organisational structure
– Customer / Customer Journey
The game is digital to the core, so all the data that comes in from the game can be tracked in real time on dashboards. This enables a great debrief where you can show data, clarify things or reinforce the message.
You can also track aggregated data from all sessions to detect differences over time.
– Analyse level of understanding
– Get insights from staff
– Compare countries, divisions, teams, functions etc
– Drill down to individual answers
The game aims to provide a deep understanding of how the company works. Importantly, the game does not just inform about your business, it also provokes important discussion in the team to drive peer-2-peer learning. The game also lets new staff get to know each other and share recent insights while they are “fresh”.
