The events industry is experiencing unprecedented growth and is now the UK’s 16th largest employer with more than 530,000 people directly employed. In a recent article in The Times it was said that ’in terms of generating employment, government tax revenue and spending by delegates the business events sector is a UK economic powerhouse’.
In 2014 UK businesses spent £19.9bn on conferences and events and £11bn on exhibitions and trade fairs.
The customers for the products and services can be any size business from SME’s to large corporates. There are packaged experiences for small groups ranging from 6 people to a conference event for 6,000.
Every business that has a need to communicate with their employees and teams is a potential customer. The products can be used for sharing plans and strategic goals or trying to strengthen team interaction. The need to ‘get people together’ has never been stronger but there is a need to make these meetings and events meaningful, memorable and effective.
There are a number of companies that offer team building activities and some that utilise technology, but there aren’t other companies doing both in the Green Hat People way.
Many of those that do provide technological solutions simply provide traditional content, Meeting Agendas, Speaker Profiles, Delegate Lists etc via Tablet or Smart-phone apps. We actually provide content that causes the delegates to interact with each other and even provide feedback to other conference participants whether they are other delegates or conference speakers.
